We’re looking for software engineers to join our engineering team who are passionate about blowing customers’ minds and building highly scalable software systems. As an engineer at Bellhops, you’ll have the opportunity to design and implement services that drive thousands of on-demand labor experiences across the country. You will work with technologies like React.js, Node.js, GraphQL, Jamstack, Cloud Deployment Infrastructure, and Continuous Integration/Deployment.
Our client applications are built using Server-Side Generated (SSG) React and consume a couple GraphQL APIs. We’re looking to add a member to the team that is comfortable building performant progressive web applications.
We use continuous integration and automated testing to ensure that our contributions are stable at all times. Our team relies upon open source software projects within our stack, so we’re happy to let our engineers work on contributions to open source as a part of their day to day development. We allow flexibility in defining roles and responsibilities, because we value engineers who are self-starters that target the highest impact problems on their own.
Design and develop a highly performant and accessible, mobile-first web application.
Work alongside platform-facing engineers (both inside and outside the company) to coordinate and consume API resources.
Bring to the team in equal parts: artistic vision, strategic design, and solid execution.
Bachelors Degree in related field or relevant experience
1+ years experience building front-end applications using React, Angular, Vue, or similar
Deep proficiency in HTML and CSS understanding the strengths/limitations of both

Strong frontend chops. You know how to build highly performant, accessible, and fault-tolerant web applications that support our unique rate-of-growth requirements. You stay up-to-date with the latest frontend trends.
Passion. You feel ownership over everything you ship; you’d never call code “released” until you’re confident it’s correct. You pride yourself on efficient monitoring, strong documentation, and proper test coverage.
Design and business acumen. You understand the requirements of a high-growth business. Whether you’re working on a library used by other developers, an internal tool used by Bellhop HQ operation teams, or a feature used by customers, your attention to details leads to a delightful user experience.

Experience designing and consuming GraphQL APIs.
Links to your open source contributions.
