IO Global, creator of the Cardano blockchain platform, is searching for an outstanding Head of Product to join its Special Projects team. As Head of Product you will oversee a product line from inception through to implementation and release, and manage a team of skilled product managers to carry out the vision. The project is an exciting program in IOG where innovative research meets engineering, shaping the future of blockchain technologies. We’re looking for someone who wants the challenge of a lifetime!

Your mission

  • Collaborating with the chief product officer to drive strategy, and global product vision
  • Managing the product lifecycle, from strategic planning to tactical activities. Oversee all product roadmaps for company products based on market research and collaboration with internal and external groups
  • Executing roadmap strategies and bringing valuable, highly differentiated and elegantly designed capabilities to market
  • Working with customers and partners to ensure that their needs are addressed in the roadmap and that they are aware of releases and updates
  • Working with marketing, design and communications to understand industry and community needs and develop a product roadmap
  • Ensuring the successful launch and positioning of our offerings
  • Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to explain how changes will benefit users and supporting the development of communications material
  • Developing a detailed understanding of developments and trends to drive product excellence
  • Managing the collection, analysis and prioritization of requests for product changes from customers, prospects, partners, sales, and market-driven forces
  • Working with business development on evaluating inclusion into the roadmap and project managers on delivery, planning and scheduling
  • Working with operations to gain awareness of potential defects and prioritizing their resolution in the product release plan and roadmap
  • Working with engineering and design teams to deliver a captivating, reliable, and easy-to-use experience with excellent user interfaces
  • Supporting the sales group on product selection, presentations and pricing strategy
  • Providing technical guidance in evaluating applications systems or evaluating requests for proposals.

Requirements

Your expertise

  • A BSc or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics (or equivalent)
  • Product management certification is a plus (CPM, AIPMM)
  • Experience as a product manager or associate product manager
  • Ten or more years experience in product management at software companies
  • A background in distributed computing and experience with blockchain technologies
  • At least one year of business experience with blockchain or cryptocurrency technology
  • Experience with launching SaaS-based products
  • Experience launching global services
  • Experience with digital identity (decentralized Identity preferred)
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in an agile environment and leading highly technical engineering teams
  • Experience implementing processes to define metrics and measure the success of products
  • Experience working with software development and marketing teams, preferably in fintech
  • Experience leading highly technical engineering, design and business teams
  • Proven ability in developing productive relationships with a variety of levels and roles, and managing user expectations effectively
  • MBA preferred.
