What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?
We’re looking for a diverse designer skilled in mobile app design and UI/UX. We need a designer that has the end-user at heart. Someone who uses design thinking to guide their approach in building exceptional experiences.
The Job
You will work directly with our React Native developer designing new apps. You would be working mainly on one of our many web applications, but also additional design projects if the skillset is applicable.
You will create new apps from the ground up using design thinking to guide your approach in building exceptional experiences. The workload is usually balanced between new design and maintenance work.
You would be working with an all-remote team that’s used to getting work done asynchronously through text-based channels (Basecamp, Email and Slack conversations). Must be proficient in English, and be comfortable working remotely.
Skills and Traits
Designers have different strengths in different areas. Here are some of the categories we would assess candidates based on. Strength in one area can offset weakness in another.
- You have the ability to forge strong designer – developer relationships and have experience in preparing design for developer hand over
- Create visual assets and design user flows to support web and native applications
- You are Adobe proficient
- You manage your time effectively, maintain responsibility for your projects and ensure they always run smoothly
- You have a clear understanding of design thinking and how it helps to drive a project
- You have coding and wireframing knowledge and/or a basic understanding of developer workflows
