As our first dedicated User Experience Writer, you’ll play an integral role in creating a product experience that is clear, intuitive, and engaging. Working within the Design Team, the UX Writer will become an integral partner in our product development process by advocating for the user, demonstrating best practices to collaborators, and by establishing a consistent brand voice and tone across our investing platform.

Responsibilites

    • Write clear and user-friendly in-product copy, including feature descriptions, user instructions, calls-to-action, system messages, labels, navigational elements, and tooltips.
    • Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering from conceptualization through iteration to create copy that helps users accomplish their goals.
    • Establish standards and best practices for UX copy to ensure consistency of voice and tone across all touchpoints, empowering broader team members to make consistent and informed product copy decisions.
    • Provide distinct and strategic copy options for frequent testing to ensure pages and flows are optimized for performance and contributing to business objectives.
    • Participate in user research efforts to test product content for success and efficacy.

Minimum Qualifications

    • 3 years of experience in the same or similar role.
    • Outstanding writing and editing skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working on communication flow in digital products (i.e. labeling, form fields, empty states, error messages, etc.)
    • Proficiency with user testing and multivariate testing to inform and iterate messaging.
    • Demonstrated skill turning complex ideas into concise, clear, and engaging copy.
    • Proficiency in copyediting and proofreading.
    • Experience designing for accessibility and usability.
