Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d) @Skytale – nextbigthingag2

Skytale is a DeFi curated ledger that enables individuals and institutions to consolidate their on-chain activities into one single view. With data aggregated from an extensive and expanding list of supported networks and protocols, Skytale enables anyone to make more informed decisions about their investments and to be alerted to potential scams in the DeFi and NFT space.

Skytale provides an easy-to-use dashboard that focuses only on the data that is needed, giving a high-level view of asset performance and allowing users to drill down into tagged subsets of data.

How we do it

• Our web application is built on React with Ant Design and communicates with the back-end via REST calls. Our back-end is distributed via an express server, using Typescript
• We are keen on our users’ data and we store them in two separate databases, MongoDB and MySql
• We maintain our code in GitLab and follow continuous delivery with GitLab CI. We strongly believe in testing, and we use Jest and Apache Karate to run our continuous integration
• All our applications are managed via Terraform and hosted in AWS
• We like to be flexible and fast. We use Trello and Notion for our documentation, as well as GitBook to distribute it
• We work with blockchain nodes and we run our nodes internally
• We deploy our contract in Solidity using Remix and OpenZeppelin

As a Full Stack Engineer (m/f/d), you will play an important role in the design and creation of our scalable software. You will write clean and functional code on the front- and back-end whilst testing and fixing bugs to deliver a state-of-the-art experience to our end-users.

You will be called to

• Work with the development team and the co-founders to improve our digital services platform Skytale
• Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment
• Solve technical problems of varying scope and complexity and be an advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance
• Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review
• Collaborate with stakeholders within Engineering and Product to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment
• Learn, keep yourself up to date with the latest technologies and apply what you learn as soon as you feel confident to
• Be called to gain experience in web3 technologies
• Have a can-be-done mentality, and not be afraid of making errors
