Job Description
The ERP Developer II is a member of the Ohio University Business Systems team. This position works under general supervision primarily in the ERP application and with other third party applications that integrate directly with the ERP enterprise application. Responsibilities include creating moderately complex customizations and extensions to ERP functionality, and moderately complex SQL for queries. Designs and develops applications that update data in the ERP system based on well-defined criteria and functions. Proficient in using delivered ERP functionality to schedule processes, create communications, maintain and transform ERP data, and set security within the ERP system.

Duties Include:
1. Development – Participates in the development, maintenance, and support of the ERP system and corresponding data. Designs and documents moderately complex system configurations, scheduled tasks, customizations, extensions, integrations, etc. Performs ERP development requiring an advanced knowledge of business processes, source data, SQL and other data manipulation languages, and ERP developmental tool features.
2. Production Support – Leverages an advanced understanding of ERP delivered features to support the user community by effectively participating in analysis, design, and execution of business functions. Assists in troubleshooting with moderately complex issues with customizations and extensions to ERP systems.
3. 4. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in relational database development.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with both IT resources and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with source control software.
  • Experience in linux shell scripting.
  • Experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Knowledge of common HR and/or financial business processes.

Pay Rate
This position is remote with a salary of $70,000 to $80,000 depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
