What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

As Manager, Creative Operations, you will oversee a team of marketing project managers and provide guidance to projects across our marketing department. You will bring campaign briefs to life by building project plans, scheduling the team, organizing tasks and monitoring progress to ensure the campaign is launched and evaluated as planned.

Reporting to the VP, Brand, you will define and implement project management frameworks and processes for global cross-functional marketing initiatives. You will work with your team and departmental leaders to ensure the smooth delivery of Lightspeed’s global marketing roadmap, always driving ways to create efficiency and consistency in creative production and the final output. You will oversee department-wide resource capacity planning to inform the feasibility of marketing roadmaps and staffing recommendations.

What you’ll be responsible for: 

  • Day-to-day management of a team of Marketing Project Managers team including reviewing and providing feedback on project plans and communication, individual development plans, team structure, OKR definition and process.
  • Defining the creative process and identifying gaps in technology or process and propose solutions to optimize the efficiency of creative production to produce high quality collateral. This includes but is not limited to; global campaign production workflows, brief usage, optimizing feedback loops, digital asset management, post mortems.
  • Continually improve the project categorization and prioritization framework
  • Oversee the usage and implementation of marketing project management tools such as JIRA, Monday and more
  • Oversee capacity planning across groups and provide guidance and recommendations on feasibility of roadmaps
  • Develop systems and metrics to report on capacity utilization across projects to improve efficiency
  • Develop & maintain documentation on project management processes to facilitate department-wide training and development
  • Maintain understanding of all aspects of brand standards, design and production process
  • Arbitrate communication issues between cross-functional teams and optimize communication channels and strategies
  • Support departmental planning cycles by facilitating monthly cross-team alignment meetings between Marketing leaders
  • Assist on the delivery of specific projects within the marketing roadmap that require senior and strategic program management support by developing timelines and  overseeing project delivery from briefing to launch
  • Ensure high-quality and efficient creative output
  • Review, iterate and improve delivery process

What you’ll be bringing to the team:

  • Experience in a Marketing Program Management or Creative Operations role; preferably in a fast-paced, B2B business
  • Proven experience in a people leadership capacity with a focus on coaching and developing talent
  • Experience implementing department technology (eg. JIRA,  Monday or other project management tools)
  • Understanding of resource management, technology management and creative production workflows
  • Proven track record of facilitating best in class creative and building processes that create consistent experiences across teams
  • Ability to communicate, manage expectations and build strong connections with executive leadership
