Second Dinner (51-200 Employees, 180% 2 Yr Employee Growth Rate)

47% 1-Year Employee Growth Rate | 180% 2-Year Employee Growth Rate | LinkedIn | $30M Venture Funding

What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

Who We Are

Second Dinner is an independent game development studio that is here to make the most fun games in the world. Not super fun games. Not SUPER DUPER fun games. We mean the MOST fun games. And for our first game, MARVEL SNAP, we’re partnering with Marvel. That’s right, we get to play in the Marvel Universe!!

While we are headquartered in Irvine, California, most of our team is fully remote. We want the most talented teammates wherever they call home. A diverse team with varied perspectives makes us a better company and will help us make better games. If you can bring something new to the table and expand our point of view, that’s a huge upside.

About the Role

We seek a talented CRM/Lifecycle Subject Matter Expert with a passion for engaging with players worldwide and helping us build a studio worthy of their time and passion. You’ll do this by architecting a plan to bring awesome content directly to the players – everything from highlighting the amazing artists featured in the game to teaching people a thing or two about comic lore! Everything is possible and only limited by the impact you want to have and the imagination that fuels you.

This is no easy task. Being a startup means there’s plenty of work ahead of us. The Lifecycle Marketing Specialist will contribute to different lifecycle areas, such as in-game messaging, email, push, web, or SMS. If taking on new marketing challenges daily, acting as an owner-operator, and being part of a small startup inspires you, adventure on.

Second Dinner has big aspirations, and this role will help build the engagement playbook for the studio’s future. So if you’ve developed CRM campaigns across push/in-app for mobile (not necessarily games!) and are passionate about delivering excellent content to players, this may just be your role!

**Please attach your cover letter AND resume as one document.**

What you’ll do:

  • Players First: Design and execute content strategies that surprise and delight players worldwide, drawing on a deep understanding of the player experience.
  • Owner-Operator: Build and execute an industry-best CRM/Lifecycle Marketing discipline. Take strategic vision and key insights and translate them into tactical campaign ideas and solutions.
  • Partner Relations: Cross-Collaborate and forge fantastic relationships within Second Dinner and with our epic partners at MARVEL and Nuverse.
  • Create Engaging Campaigns: Write and schedule push notifications, manage external art vendors for in-game events, create artist spotlight campaigns that allow us to feature different artists in-game, etc. The right candidate will find creative ways to help, educate, and entertain players.
  • Data Informed, Always Improving: Monitor how ongoing campaigns or ideas perform and identify ways we might improve them.
  • Engagement Calendar: Own the CRM calendar for in-game messaging and push notifications and collaborate with partners in Community and Social Media regularly, so all game communications are in sync.
  • Tools of the Trade (Braze CRM): Make expert use of Braze CRM as part of our communications pipeline.

What you’ll need:

  • Intellectually curious self-starter with a “roll-up your sleeves and dive-in” attitude
  • Strong writing skills (ideally copywriting or short-form content)
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with CRM or Lifecycle Platforms (Braze, Iterable, Leanplum, etc.)
  • 3+ Years of experience in a CRM or Lifecycle marketing-related role on a Mobile App (any industry)
  • Ability to effectively manage and complete multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated success in a highly collaborative, cross-functional work environment
  • Ability to think both analytically and creatively
  • If you pay attention to detail, then tell us that fud (our mascot) is the coolest dumpling ever
  • Ability to solve complex problems and challenges by leveraging past learnings while applying new ways of thinking

Pluses:

  • A passion for gaming or the business of gaming
  • Experience with Braze Software
  • Hands-on experience writing push notifications, emails, in-app messages etc.
  • Experience in fast-moving startup environments
  • Experience in mobile CRM/Lifecycle
  • Experience Copywriting

You must be eligible to work in the United States to be considered for this position.
