The role:
SoFi is seeking an Analyst to join SoFi’s Corporate Treasury Funding & Liquidity team. The candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the firm’s cash and other liquid assets while ensuring that firm-wide liquidity risks are appropriately measured and mitigated.
Working closely with various Business Units, this member of the SoFi Treasury team will also project cash balances, liquid assets, and liquidity risks across short- and long-term time horizons. This role requires someone who will be able to work collaboratively with various teams and divisions of the firm to become a trusted partner in supporting daily BU activity & establish a robust liquidity management framework.
What you’ll do:
- Support daily cash sizing decisions based on expected funding, operational, and capital markets activities
- Coordinate across business units to forecast SoFi’s cash position and needs
- Utilize the firm’s balance sheet to optimize ROE
- Monitor daily liquidity position and report key metrics to senior management of the firm
- Explore opportunities to mitigate liquidity risks
- Partner with engineering, data, and other technical resources of the firm to streamline and automate Treasury processes
What you’ll need:
- 2-5 years of work experience in treasury, funding, capital markets, or risk management disciplines at a regulated broker dealer or depository institution
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, accounting, or related field; CFA, MBA, or FRM a plus
- Understanding of bank and BHC balance sheets + underlying products
- Exposure to securitized assets and/or warehouse funding activities
- Experience with data-driven executive reporting and analysis
- Computer skills, including advanced excel, word, and powerpoint required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Bank liquidity regulations (Enhanced Prudential Standards, OCC/SR 10-6, LCR) a plus
- Familiarity with data sourcing and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx, python, SQL)
- Knowledge of FHLB and bank specific secured funding sources
