The Finance team is responsible for accurately reporting the financial results of Clover Health and overall business activities. The team manages financial planning and analysis for external and internal reporting, including supporting company-wide goals and initiatives relative to the financial needs of all business lines and cost centers. Additionally, Treasury management is centralized under Finance.
We are looking for a highly motivated and committed individual to join our Finance team as a Treasury and FP&A Senior Analyst. As a Treasury and FP&A Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for managing our treasury and investments, including our investment policy, outsourced treasury and investment functions, along with associated reporting and capital optimization. This role will also lead our capital planning including regulatory based capital optimization, and capital budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, financial modeling, variance analysis, and creating dashboards with Key Performance Indicators, along with supporting our overall FP&A work in these areas. You will be expected to exhibit the highest professional standards, ethical principles, and attention to detail while working on numerous routine and ad-hoc accounting support functions.
As a Senior Analyst, Treasury and FP&A, you will:
- Ensure adequate liquidity for working capital needs and invest short-term excess cash, including preparing 90 day liquidity forecasts, initiating money market fund transactions, and meeting regulatory risk based capital funding requirements.
- Help prepare the long-term cash flow forecast, which provides executive management insights into the company’s long term liquidity to allow better capital allocation and capital funding decisions.
- Manage the relationship with our third party investment manager to ensure preservation of investment capital, maintain adequate liquidity, earn sufficient yield on investments, and ensure the overall portfolio is within company investment policy guidelines.
- Perform various capital planning related forecasts including regulatory based capital requirement analysis, forecasting, and optimization.
- Initiate appropriate treasury and investment transactions as required, including initiating wires, ACH, positive pay, and accounting transfers.
- Bank account management including opening and closing of bank accounts, KYC compliance, updating auth signatories and any other account maintenance required.
- Manage state statutory deposit requirements to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Administration of various treasury related vendor portals; including user access management and configuration.
- Implement and help maintain all cash management related company policies, SOX and internal audit controls and working procedures.
- Partner with the accounting team to ensure proper recording of all treasury related transactions and ensure accuracy of the underlying treasury and investment information in the financial statements and related footnotes (SEC, GAAP, and STAT).
- Partner with cost center owners to ensure accountability to SG&A and headcount targets and identify areas for savings opportunities and possible duplication.
- Perform other special ad-hoc projects and analyses as directed by management.

- You have a Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- You have 5+ years of experience as a financial analyst, three years of which working as a treasury analyst.
- You have 2+ years of experience in cash management operation and bank account administration experience, as well as understanding banking products and services.
- You have 2+ years of experience managing relationships with external treasury and investment management partners is preferred, but not required.
- You have 2+ years of experience in investments, including but not limited to fixed income instruments, corporate debt, and other investment types.
- You have a solid understanding of how to account for investments in accordance with GAAP accounting principles.
- You are proficient in Excel and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including Google suite.
- You are familiar with treasury and investment software and platforms, including Clearwater.
