What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

Our UX Research Operations team builds and scales global research programs to strengthen the impact of our world-class research team. We do this by implementing operational systems, connecting teams and knowledge, and problem-solving operational hurdles to enable researchers to do their most impactful work. In this position, you will use a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills that help our talented teams operate at their highest and most effective level.The UX Research Tools Program Manager role sits within the Research Technology team and will tackle and manage multiple areas in research tooling. You will own and evolve various tools programs, working closely with researchers, research managers, and technical teams across the company to identify tools needs and define the roadmap for optimizing and expanding our current suite. The ideal candidate is experienced in facilitating our teams’ best work by managing short and long-term projects and initiatives, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to research needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. You will also help maintain and refine established research processes as needed. The Tools Program Manager is an expert in problem solving and multitasking, while building long-term relationships with the team. You will utilize a full range of organizational and interpersonal skills that help our talented teams operate at their highest and most effective level.This role requires project and program management experience and a broad knowledge of research’s impact on product design and development. Experience with communication, managing logistics, and an organized approach are mandatory.

UX Research Tools Program Manager Responsibilities:

  • Analyze UX Research tool needs end-to-end to identify and prioritize key issues and opportunities
  • Define operational strategy for building, onboarding, and scaling tools across UX Research discipline
  • Lead definition of tooling needs across UX Research and Research Operations
  • Develop, maintain, monitor and refine operational processes, including technical trainings for researchers
  • Build subject matter expertise, stay up-to-date on industry trends in research tools, and identify opportunities for partnership with technical vendors
  • Define and own success metrics including key quality and performance indicators
  • Move initiatives forward, find resources, raise concerns to owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives across the Research Technology team and broader Research Operations organization
  • Conduct ongoing communication of team programs and reduce surprises by proactively managing risks
  • Hold the line when progress is in jeopardy while maintaining relationships
  • Predict obstacles and establish solutions to overcome challenges
  • Travel up to 15% (domestic and international) as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, operations, strategy, and driving technical solutions
  • Track record of operating independently
  • Experience understanding user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Communication experience interacting with a variety of audiences from engineers, to vendors, to research leaders
  • Track record of building cross-functional relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with UX Research and/or UX Design
  • Experience leading technical projects, managing technical workflows, and launching tools with technical expertise
