About the Role
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Total Rewards, the Manager of Compensation role will be responsible for leading the Compensation Team and providing guidance across the organization as a subject matter expert (SME). This role will oversee both the day-to-day activities of the team as well as managing regular programs such as the annual merit cycle and mid-year reviews. The ideal candidate would be an experienced compensation leader who is looking for an opportunity to provide vision and direction around strategic compensation program delivery and thrives in a collaborative, fast paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the development, management, and execution of compensation programs such as the annual merit cycle, mid-year review and promotions
- Direct and guide the day-to-day operations of the compensation team
- Serve as a subject matter expert by providing expert level compensation consulting support to HRBPs and managers
- Establish project objectives and develop project plans, manage timelines and resources and engage stakeholders
- Manage compensation initiatives and projects that have a significant impact on the organization including creation of new compensation programs and policies
- Serve as a team lead, ensuring availability to team members in compensation for guidance and direction on compensation questions. Train other team members on various processes as needed and monitors team performance and resources
- Monitor legislative updates impacting compensation and makes recommendations for changes to policies and pay practices
- Develop and deliver compensation-related training and communications, understand the processes and tools for project management, change management and communication, and collaborates with responsible teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in compensation, consulting, or related field in high-growth environment
- Minimum 3+ years’ people management experience
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, and proven support in accurate, effective and creative problem solving
- Great team player with a collaborative mindset and comfortable working with all levels of business
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive towards aggressive deadlines
- Understanding of federal and state labor laws
- Fluent in Google Apps and MS Office; Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills
- Tech industry related compensation experience is a plus
- CCP preferred
