We are looking for a Manager of Enterprise Data to join our growing team. The primary mission of the Enterprise Data team is to enable the availability and reliability of data across the enterprise to support Elastic’s strategic objectives by driving how data is defined, consumed, delivered, and governed.

What You Will be Doing

  • Support delivery and implementation of enterprise wide data and insights initiatives
  • Work with functional and business partners to collect, analyze and understand business reporting and insights needs; translate into technical data and analytics requirements
  • Collaborate with Business users to understand data challenges and develop logical, flexible and scalable solutions to address them
  • Understand and create end to end data flows and process maps
  • Design, validate and deploy hierarchies and attribution to enrich data sets
  • Design and craft self-service reporting and visualization capabilities
  • Perform quantitative analysis and data mining to drive insight; present findings in a way to see beyond the numbers
  • Communicate through reports, scorecards, and dashboards that are easily consumable and enable informed business decision making
  • Monitor and maintain data quality, validation/audits, and governance for data domains
  • Identify and develop the critical metrics to track and monitor the health/quality of information
  • Work with business partners to facilitate alignment, data ownership and stewardship, and implement common data management practices
  • Enable data teams to implement standard methodologies for collecting data sets, data lineage, and other key areas of data management

What You Bring Along

  • 8+ years relevant work experience (Finance, Data Management, Data Modeling/Analytics, Enterprise Systems and Applications, Program Management)
  • Proven track record to be agile, proactive and comfortable working in ambiguity; think creatively to come up with innovative solutions to complex problems
  • “Bilingual” having a strong foundational understanding of both the functional (business) needs and the analytics/technology
  • Ability to lead various data initiatives, with a “customer-focused” mentality
  • Ability to think creatively coupled with strong analytics and problem-solving skills
  • Experience conducting large scale data analysis to support business decision making
  • Understanding of and appreciation for the nuances in data landscapes, business applications and processes
  • Experience leading enterprise wide data projects, structured and unstructured, joining large and complex data sets
  • Experience with the following tools/programs: languages (e.g., SQL, Python), visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx)
  • Self-motivated, pragmatic and get-it-done mentality
  • Strong teammate, adept at operating across different functions/teams and levels in the organization
