Primary Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Work on a specialized Agile team that is passionate about meeting Jama’s objectives that enable our enterprise customers to scale with our product and platform
  • Use test and performance profiling tools while interpreting the analytics such that they are used to optimize Jama’s product and platform
  • Develop outstanding prescriptive solutions to identified Scale and Performance issues
  • Work with the Scale and Performance Team to develop regression plans for each release cycle that will ensure performance and scale is considered and acceptable
  • Implement tests across all supported browsers, databases and operating systems
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and leadership on industry standard methodologies, test tools, and performance monitoring tools


  • 3-5 years of hands-on development experience using Java, Spring, Hibernate, and SQL within an Agile process
  • Proficiency in developing SQL queries
  • Experience optimizing scale and performance for multi-tenant cloud applications preferably in AWS environments
  • Experience optimizing scale and performance for enterprise level on-premise applications
  • Experience optimizing and performance tuning of monolithic applications.
  • Experience with Docker
  • Working experience with CI/CD (Git, Team City, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Familiarity with creating and maintaining load test scripts
  • Bonus: Experience with Elasticsearch and Monolithic applications
  • Bonus: Experience with Scala and Python
