Arrow is looking for a true Hunter for our Connecticut market who is passionate about being on the forefront of leading-edge technology!
Arrow’s Account Development Representative is an entry level position and an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 3-5 years’ experience in outside sales who is looking for an opportunity to join a global Fortune 104 company. The Account Development Representative is responsible for identifying and selling to new accounts and increasing sales in existing accounts within an assigned sales territory. This role focuses on building and maintaining customer and supplier relationships by staying abreast of industry policies, practices, products, trends, technology and information affecting their territory.
This position will generate leads through prospecting and follow-up on leads obtained through suppliers and Arrow internal sources. This position will call on customers; provide product information, and follow-up on quotes to close business for Arrow. The ADR seeks to provide an appropriate solution by understanding what the customer is trying to accomplish. This role also spends time in a needs analysis process to determine a prospect’s fit with Arrow’s products and services. The ADR coordinates resources to provide solutions and close sales opportunities. Develops and maintains broad, influential relationships with customers, suppliers, and Arrow colleagues.
This position has excellent earning opportunity including a Base salary of $58,000 for the Connecticut market plus a competitive commission structure. Car allowance also provided.
What You’ll Be Doing:
The Account Development Representative is an outside sales position covering entire state of Connecticut. The ADR MUST live and work in Connecticut and travel the entire state of Connecticut as requried.
- Demand Creation: Drives sales growth through new customer acquisition and rebuilding of underpenetrated and neglected relationships. Identifies and targets emerging areas for high growth, profit, and differentiation. Generates leads and follows-up on leads obtained through suppliers and Arrow internal sources.
- Sales Generation: Drives and creates their own opportunities and product selection within their territory by having a fundamental understanding of all of Arrow’s solutions, matching those solutions to customer business needs. Grows profits and maximizes margins by solving the customer’s business problems with value-added Arrow solutions. Negotiates skillfully in tough situations with customers and is able to win concessions while maintaining good customer relationships.
- Relationships: Builds and maintains influential customer and supplier business relationships by staying abreast of current and future industry and competitor’s products, trends, technology and information. Must be able to converse with senior management and C-level/executive level personnel.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- High energy, drive to build relationships, get to the decision maker and produce sales
- 3-5 years’ outside sales doing cold calling, prospecting, and demand creation
- Technical sales and/ or distribution experience a definite plus
- The ability to sell, persuade, influence and negotiate
- Proven ability to originate new business and convert a lead into a qualified prospect
- Excellent written and verbal communication/interpersonal skills
- Time management, organization, and customer service skills are essential for this role. Must be able to prioritize, multitask, and deal with pressure
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of customers and suppliers

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:
$79,100.00 – $127,599.96
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.

Remote work employees may be required to be present at the closest designated Arrow office for work-related purposes, at the Company’s request and sole discretion.
