Job Summary: Responsibilities will include varied tasks including general ledger entries, accrual accounting, SOX control documentation, monthly financial variance analysis for multiple business entities among other month end close duties. Moreover, responsible for managing daily and ad hoc financial and accounting tasks. The main duties include preparing and maintaining financial statements, compiling reports, and maintaining balance sheet account reconciliations.This role is a 6 month position.
Essential Duties:

Records, classifies, and summarises financial transactions and events across multiple international entities in various foreign currencies.

Liaise with international external accounting firm to properly account for entity’s activity

Responsible for recording the cost of intangible assets, tracking existing intangibles, recording amortisation, and accounting for transfers between entities.

Creating and posting journal entries for assigned entities with heavy focus on accruals

Analysing and interpreting financial information, and provide assurance that information complies with professional and regulatory standards

Preparing monthly financial statement variance analysis for multiple entities

Performs and/or oversees budget analysis. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans, develops, and recommends variances.

Responsible for working cross functionally with international team members to ensure completeness of monthly expenses

Assist and support accounts payable requests for information

Assist and support with internal and external audit requests

Research ad hoc requests for various budgeting and/or reporting initiatives
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
-
CPA/ ACCA/ CIMA or working towards accreditation, preferred
-
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

4+ years of accounting experience, with a mixture of public accounting and private company experience, preferred

Experience with intercompany transactions and working with multiple currencies

Advanced knowledge of Excel

Knowledge of G-Suite

Individual must be a motivated self-starter who possesses effective written and verbal communication skills.
