The Client Strategies Group (CSG) at Edward Jones is focused on developing a profound understanding of prospective and current clients’ needs, in order to create an unparalleled experience. Leveraging these critical insights, we implement tailored solutions and enhance our products in ways that enable clients to achieve their financial goals.

From branding and communication to the actual stocks, bonds and mutual funds offered, your work will have a significant impact not only within the CSG division but firm-wide. Working in this collaborative and fast-paced environment, you will be challenged to bring fresh perspectives that allow us to continually exceed client expectations in an ever-evolving landscape.

As part of Edward Jones’ internal agency, you will drive concept and visual execution of the firm’s internal and external communications and campaigns. In this senior-level role, your expertise in visual design and strategy will be applied across various media and channels. This role will work with creative leadership to understand business challenges related to creative work and brand voice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investor, Client and Firm Communications – Create visual designs including advertising, print collateral, infographics as well as social media and digital marketing.
  • Building the Brand – Responsible for creating materials/graphics that build the firm’s brand locally and across North America. Reinforce consistent application of brand standards for all communications across a variety of internal and external channels.
  • Consultation – Provide recommendations and develop visual solutions that achieve business objectives or communicate complex concepts in alignment with brand standards.
  • Agency Partnerships – Identify and manage relationships with external design agencies. In collaboration with subject matter experts, lead development of creative strategy for marketing executions across the firm’s agency relationships.
  • Client and Prospective Client Touchpoints – Adhere to and reinforce application of the brand on all touchpoints between branch offices and millions of investors and clients through various medias.
  • External Environment – Create branded impressions for external environments such as firm headquarter locations, branch locations, sports venues, national sponsorships, museums/monuments and other structural facilities.
  • Photo Shoots – Plan and execute large scale professional photo shoots to build proprietary lib
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Graphic or Visual Design or related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of graphic design experience with demonstrated success in brand stewardship through digital, print, video and/or interactive design.
  • Technical Skills – Expertise in digital, interactive and/or print design with proficiency in others. In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. Understanding of technologies such as HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript. Understanding of video design elements.
  • Brand – Understand and advocate for the visual brand. Ability to create deliverables that support business initiatives and drive desired action.
  • Communication – Strong communication skills with ability to express creative approach and strategic thinking. Confidently present design rationale and decisions to deliver upon business objectives. Ability to effectively present creative throughout organization including leadership.
  • Insights – Understanding of, and ability to, integrate client and audience insights into visual representations of the brand.
  • Innovative thinking – As media, technology and channels evolve, the ability to provide innovative solutions to challenges or identify opportunities to enhance the brand is critical. Familiarity with design thinking methodologies, and product and concepting for user research is preferred.
  • Project leadership – Ability to execute and/or lead multiple projects with competing deadlines.
