Do you love events and event content? Are you a seasoned and passionate project manager?
The AWS Event Content team is seeking an Event Content Manager to help manage the content strategy, development and execution for a number of AWS corporate events with a primary focus on re:Invent.

This role is in Virtual Nevada at this time.

Key job responsibilities
In this role, your primary focus is to assist in the management of content at AWS largescale cloud computing educational events. You will project manage the overall event content development and execution process, from working with those who write breakout session content, all the way to ensuring that its delivered on-site at our events. You will also manage and implement the strategy for session types and consistency of content themes to raise the bar and ensure we are always working backwards from customer needs. Your role is within our broader event content team; you will define timelines, ensure quality control of content, and manage delivery of the content experience and ensure it is aligned with the overall global event content strategy.

Our ideal candidate is a driven, creative, self-starter with exceptional organizational skills. You are experienced at managing complex projects with multiple global stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has experience in event marketing, preferably on high tech user conferences. This motivated and organized candidate must have experience managing complex concurrent projects, exceptional communication skills and the experience to manage multiple global stakeholders. This person will travel to site inspections and will be on-site to manage all elements of event content delivery.
• Work directly with content owners to identify deliverables and deadlines, communicate expectations, and ensure results
• Coordinate, manage, and run all stakeholder team meetings
• Assist with event logistics related to sessions, including: session room allocation, agenda management, and definition of requirements for room set-up, and A/V
• Manage (with a team) the content management system, including session scheduling
• Distribute regular reports on event deliverables and status updates
• Work with production vendors to define pre-event, onsite, and post-events needs and actions

  • Travel: Primarily domestic, up to 20% required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in related areas of program/project management, event management (ideally, high tech user conferences), content management, or marketing
• 5+ years experience with content workflows, optimizing workflows
• 5+ years program management experience executing on strategy from leadership
• 3+ years experience working with excel
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, English, communications, or related field of study

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Existing knowledge of industry tools, such as Tableau, Airtable and Salesforce
• Demonstrates high level of ownership- ability to work independently and autonomously
