Business Operations Program Managers build and scale global research programs to strengthen the impact of our world-class UX Research team. We do this by implementing operational systems, connecting teams and knowledge, and problem-solving operational hurdles to enable Researchers to do their most impactful work. In this role, you will work closely with key stakeholders in Sourcing, Legal, and Finance to operationalize the vendor engagement experience. We’re looking for someone that is able to facilitate our teams’ best work by driving and delivering projects to completion – managing timelines, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting resources to research needs, and removing barriers to doing great work. The ideal candidate has a track record of building strategic programs from the ground up and is comfortable navigating ambiguous environments, managing short- and long-term project milestones, and identifying solutions to remove challenging Research roadblocks. This role requires project and program management experience and broad knowledge of vendor management. Communication skills, relationship management, the ability to manage complex logistics through an organized approach are mandatory.
Business Operations Program Manager, Vendor Management Responsibilities:
- Create, scale and execute strategic programs to develop, implement and operationalize vendor management solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Sourcing, Legal, and Global Vendors to ensure program success through strong performance management and governance methodologies
- Manage vendor negotiations and guide solutions that impact financial success
- Partner with leadership teams to assess and improve vendor engagement experience
- Proactively manage expectations: define clear program roadmaps, provide frequent program updates, identify and communicate risks and adjustments, and ensure commitments are delivered
- Proactively develop education initiatives and resources around Vendor policies and best practices
- Partner with global Research Operations Program Managers to identify shared Vendor challenges and develop solutions
- Facilitate relationships between Business Operations programs, move initiatives forward, find resources, escalate to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress
- Prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience
- Demonstrable experience owning high-impact, time sensitive escalations and driving alignment by facilitating challenging stakeholder conversations
- Experience working in compliance or regulatory environments with diverse stakeholders
- Track record of building scalable operations, familiarity with complex process development, implementation and iterative improvement
- Experience developing effective partnerships with peers and senior stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations
- Experience juggling competing priorities and effectively managing stakeholders expectations through an organized approach
- Communication skills for interacting with, influencing and tailoring messaging to researchers, cross functional stakeholders, senior management, and external partners
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Proven experience with data analysis, SQL and Data Visualization Tools (Tableau, Salesforce, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years vendor partnerships, or in-house agency experience
- Experience working with international partners and teams
- Experience working directly with UX researchers and/or product designers
