Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to assist in the delivery and support of Personal Property Liability’s (PPL) Digital Strategy to reduce Contact Center chat volumes and to provide technical oversight and direction through the solutioning process. The role will be responsible for ensuring adherence to AI/ML principles, and enforcing best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership; guide the team in choosing the right designs, solve technical problems, and resolve technical conflicts between team members.
  • Support technical leads in translating conceptual design into tasks
  • Creating common libraries to be used across the teams across PPL DCIO
  • Partner with our Centre of Excellence team for AI (AI COE)
  • Adhere to code quality and code deployment best practices to achieve speed to market for key services.
  • Participate in agile software product activities such as planning sessions, backlog refinement or retrospectives as needed
  • Collaborate with other teams to share best practices and ensure interoperability with other services and systems
  • Ensure team members play an active role in the decision-making process
  • Participate in rapid response to resolve issues experienced by enterprise-wide applications area
  • Participation in root cause analysis post rapid response call/ incident tickets
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be very self-motivated
  • Assure the consistency across all project work products
  • The individual must have a demonstrated history of successfully working in a high-paced team environment.

Essential criteria:

  • At least 2 years of experience developing chatbots using AWS Lex & Lambda platform
  • Expertise in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile and Scrum development methodologies
  • At least 2 years of Agile (one or more of these) JIRA, Confluence or Version 1
  • Good understanding of REST services, oAuth, Integrations
  • Excellent technical, logical, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of NodeJS
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Understands the Natural Language Processing (NLP)
  • At least 2 years working with GitHub
  • Strong project/team leadership skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Exposure to messaging applications like LiveEnage is preferred
  • Exposure to other chatbot platforms

Compensation offered for this role is $60,100.00-$102,625.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
