Position Overview

We need a developer who can help integrate AggregationServices with BarraOne to help with high volume reporting performance problems.

Scope of Responsibility

The first requirement will be to adapt the BarraOne data to RML Input format including securities, holdings, and stat results. Ultimately, this will be owned by the Barra team, but the developer we hire will create a working example of how this transformation works and what the output of the transformation will look like. After the data is adapted, the new developer will create a schema that describes the dimensions we need to aggregate on and statistics we need to aggregate. Some of these aggregation rules may not exist, and the new developer will need to implement them. The last part of this project will involve creating an MDX query to produce a report similar to what exists today in BarraOne.

Specific Knowledge/Skills

After the fundamental steps of reproducing the BarraReport in AggregationService have been done, we will need to generalize the architecture and APIs such that Aggregation cubes can be spun up as needed for Barra reports. The new developer will assist in these efforts
