  • Find solutions to business challenges by evaluating emerging technologies and the evolution of current technologies
  • Participate in deep architectural and requirement analysis discussions to build client confidence and ensure success in building new and migrating existing applications, software and services onto the Data Platform
  • Balance desire for clean architecture design with pragmatism on delivery, including consideration of minimization of technical debt
  • Define a future vision roadmap for optimal applications of technology to meet business needs
  • Evolve, direct and govern the development of frameworks, standards, policies, principles and procedures that guide technology decisions and maximize reuse of technology
  • Chair solution forums, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, and consistency across organizational and design boundaries
  • Develop the component, integration and technical architecture for project and platform initiatives, and collaborates with project teams to realize them
  • Establish credibility & build deep relationships with senior technical staff to generate common understanding and relate their challenges to platform development strategy
  • Contribute to strategic plans for technology, which satisfy the current and ongoing needs of the firm’s business strategy, and the current and future capabilities of technology

We are happy to hear from you if you have:

  • Deep knowledge, hands-on experience and conceptual/architectural understanding of many flavors of cloud technologies
  • Experience in designing for microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business needs/direction and the possibilities and constraints surrounding technical implementation
  • Ability to work as part of a number of global project teams providing architectural direction
  • Ability to assist business partners to define and prioritize their requirements
  • Ability to influence, manage and facilitate change, within internal teams and externally in matrix environment
  • Ability to think conceptually and pragmatically to determine feasible solutions for implementation
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems professionally, lead groups, negotiate and create consensus
  • Practical experience of developing secure solutions based on major cloud vendors, such as Azure
  • Ability to lead or conduct technology evaluations and POCs against specific objectives
  • Proven experience working as a lead developer and architect
