We are looking for a Deal Manager to join our global team. Reporting to the Deal Desk Director, this role will be a key business partner for our global Sales team. As a trusted advisor, you will support our Sales teams with quote configuration, deal discounting, non-standard terms, pricing, and work cross-functionally throughout our organization to move deals to closure as seamlessly as possible. For this role, an analytical mindset and attention to detail are imperative. You should be passionate about Deal Desk and enjoy working closely with sales teams to achieve Regional and Global sales objectives.

Responsibilities

    • As the primary point of escalation, serve as a trusted advisor to Sales for all topics regarding quoting, discounting, pricing, commercial terms, and approvals
    • Assist Sales in the structuring of complex quotes within the quoting tool including profitability analysis of deals
    • Ensure Sales requests are processed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner with strong focus during period-end deadlines
    • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Sales Operations and Sales to help frame and price customer quotes
    • Ensure compliance with discounting, pricing, revenue approval policies or guidelines
    • Be a sales advocate for internal cross functional organizations to understand the details and/or issues of key transactions
    • As the subject matter expert, provide guidance to Sales and cross-functional partners in all aspects of quote creation and approval  
    • Communicate and provide support to Sales teams on updates/changes to policies/process and help ensure there is clear understanding in the field on quoting best practices  
    • Help identify opportunities for improvement where the Deal Desk can add further value, improve the process in support of Sales and decrease deal cycle time
    • Partner with Sales Enablement to create and participate in training the Sales organization on global deals desk processes and approvals
    • Assist Deal Desk Director in driving the strategic direction of the Global Deal Desk and the implementation of best practices

Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent work experience in related field
    • 3-5 years of Deal Desk experience, preferably as Deal Manager in the SaaS industry
    • Excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize effectively and understand the big picture
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated experienced in collaborating with Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, Customer Success, and Sales (to help frame and price customer quotes)
    • Confident self-starter, ability to work independently in a fast paced, changing environment where the overall process is evolving
    • Effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations
    • Team player mindset, taking satisfaction from sales representatives closing deals and teams achieving quota goals
    • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce and CPQ
