Make Your Mark:
The DevOps Engineer will work as part of a highly collaborative team on developing and maintaining automation tools for our internal and customer facing teams. Recommend process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability. Assist in developing and implementing various tools and scripts to support self-service and customer migrations per the needs of the business.
You’ll Get To:
- Develop and maintain automation tools that interface with internal back-end systems
- Plan and develop automation to support client migrations from on-premises datacenters into the public cloud in accordance with the needs of project stakeholders
- Work with stakeholders to build and support self-service applications
- Recommend process improvements to ensure system scalability and reliability
- Assist in planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions
- Review and test code written by others, analyze the results, and suggest improvements
- Analyze and troubleshoot internal tools or client migration issues in a timely manner
- Assist in major incident response team efforts and take part in on-call rotation
- Perform RCA for various issues related to internal incidents and carry-out action items
- Assist with various technical proof of concepts
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in related field
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
- Solid foundation in programming fundamentals (software development lifecycle, SCRUM/Agile methodologies, basic data structures and algorithms, OOP principles)
- Proficiency developing Jenkins pipelines and understanding of automation concepts
- Proficiency with git and git workflows
- Proficiency with Windows systems
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL
- Basic understanding of configuration management tools such as chef, puppet, or ansible
- Willingness to work collaboratively with others and pair programming
We’re Even More Excited If You Have:
- 3-5 years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
- 3-5 years’ experience in PowerShell or similar programming/scripting language
