We are looking for a Director, Catering Partner Operations to help us find ways to make our customers, restaurants and delivery services more successful, so we, in turn, will be. In this role you will be responsible for driving high-priority, high-impact changes in how we work with and support our Catering Partners as we continuously focus on providing our customers with highly enjoyable and reliable experiences.
Reporting directly into the VP, Customer Care and Operations, this role will partner with our product, operations and other Customer Care teams to build strategies that better support our catering partners as we continuously improve and strengthen our catering partner supply network. You will be responsible for defining, measuring and achieving business-critical KPIs, and be involved in activities such as improving caterer reliability efforts, running experiments to improve operations, influencing and informing the product roadmap and strategy, diving into data to explain and improve performance and supporting our teams through critical change-management efforts.

What you will do:

    • Be the voice of the Catering Partner across ezCater, advocating (with a loudspeaker) to continuously improve their experiences in our operations, product, marketing, and every step of the catering partner experience 
    • Partner with Product, Engineering, Partner Sales and Operations, Marketing and outsourced partners to get all the right data to all the right parties at all the right times to improve catering partner performance and reliability
    • Lead a team of leaders, partner success managers and specialists continuously improve the health of our supply network.
    • Be a voice and a face of our operations teams as you negotiate and prioritize projects with our product and technology partners
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive out efficiencies and reduce friction for our employees, partners  and catering partners
    • Own the OKR customer-facing reliability success process across operations as it relates to catering partner performance
    • Effectively communicate and roll out catering partner change across the Customer Care & Operations organization

Who You Are:

    • A self-starter with 5+ years of experience in a $1B+ company leading business-to-business customer solutions teams and vast experience in global team management and quality success. You successfully motivate your remote team by creating strong connections and collaboration across teams.
    • Experience with high-growth B2B or consumer e-commerce or marketplace companies, 
    • A proclivity for processes, software and tools. Please have successfully installed and managed systems used by hundreds (at least) of people. If some of those systems were proprietary and you helped invent them, it would be even better
    • A head for measurements and data-driven decision-making. If you’ve used a spreadsheet to track whether rice or burgers made you more sluggish after lunch, it wouldn’t be too much
    • A love of fast experimentation. “Try it and track it” is our m.o..
    • You’re a relationship builder and team player- you are energized by being that “go-to” person, and recognize that everyone plays a role in providing users with the best experience. 
    • Your idea of inspirational leadership includes a high degree of empathy, a participatory approach to driving outcomes and collaboration across multiple teams.

What you have:

    • 5+ years of experience in a $1B+ company leading business-to-business customer solutions teams and vast experience in global team management and quality success.
    • A love for understanding root causes and balancing the ultimate solution with “until then” moves as we make progress toward the goal
    • Leading teams through change is your jam.
    • Proficient with technology and a proven ability to drive operational efficiency and automation/optimization of technology, people and processes. 
    • Experience partnering with a product and/or engineering team to drive impact
The national cash compensation range for this role is $146,000-$199,000* per year.
*Please note: Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise and region & may vary from the amount above. This range does not represent additional compensation benefits (such as equity, 401K or medical, dental or vision insurance).
