It’s been a successful journey. We have over 140K paying customers, $1.3B in annually recurring revenue and are growing 40% year over year. Every single one of these paying customers and every dollar comes through the FinTech Product Group.

The FinTech Product group is responsible for the entire end to end billing experience for 100% of our paying customers. This means building Product to allow customers to buy, purchase, pay, and manage their account with us. We’re also responsible for the core infrastructure and platform that powers this entire experience.

We’re looking for a strong Engineering Manager to help us build the next generation of Pricing & Packaging infrastructure used by Engineering teams across HubSpot. This leader will be responsible for working with their Product and UX partners to solve complex P&P problems, such as how we provision our products and features to all our customers, and how we ensure that customers’ product and feature set match what they pay for consistently as we add new ways of pricing & packaging our products for our customers. P&P is one of our most strategic and impactful areas and this team will have a tremendous impact on HubSpot as it grows towards $10B+ in revenue.

An ideal fit would be an Engineering Manager experienced in building teams that knows how to collaboratively build infrastructure, deal with ambiguity and work with a lot of autonomy – learning as they go and iterating towards success. This leader will be responsible for hiring and growing multiple teams dedicated to allowing HubSport to scale how we sell, price, provision and package our product in a simple way. They’ll be responsible for working with other engineering leaders to build out the future vision for how the 20+ FinTech teams build systems at HubSpot.

As an engineering leader at HubSpot, you’ll do many things — many of which you likely already have experience executing. For this position, we are looking for:

  • Strong player/coach who can help us deliver great products, grow autonomous engineers, and build effective teams
  • Passion for solving complex business problems with a balance of technology and people
  • Ability to articulate a long-term technical vision/mission and define the path for how we get there
  • Ability to solve complicated technical problems and analyze tradeoffs between Engineering teams and the business users
  • Ability to demonstrate calm, rational, pragmatic decision making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with building reliable systems that can scale 10x
  • Experience building configurable, extensible systems that can grow with the changing needs of the business.
