Job description
What we do
Nozzle (https://nozzle.ai) is an analytics product which incorporates advertising and sales data for customers who sell on Amazon’s marketplaces (we have direct relationships with some of the worlds largest brands). We generate insights from large amounts of retail data to help businesses understand their customer behaviour – how to optimise their marketing activity, product bundling opportunities, what products can be discounted, etc.
What you’ll be working on
The role itself is to build and continue to develop these product lines, as well as work with Product and Design to understand customer needs and use your skills to influence solutions to customer problems.
Your focus will be on development of the the web app, along with designing/developing/scaling the architecture of it, testing and test infrastructure (e2e headless testing, CI, etc), working with backend engineers to develop API specs for the web app to consume, and developing internal apps to help people in the wider team.
What’s the tech?
Currently in use we have:
- Vue.JS
- Nuxt
- Typescript
- D3
… for our web app, and this talks to our APIs (Python based for anyone interested ) for persistent user state, user metrics, production information, etc.
We run containerised builds on our CI platform which get deployed to Cloud Run instances on Google Cloud Platform.
As well as all the various user flows, and analytics being managed by the web app, there are also 3rd party integrations such as for user management (Auth0), Amazon account authorisation (Login With Amazon), user support (Intercom) and logging (Sentry).
What do I need?
- 3+ years experience writing client-side JavaScript
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks (obviously Vue.js experience is beneficial but not required!)
- Experience building responsive layouts
- Appreciation of UI and UX considerations
- The ability communicate clearly and effectively
- A positive outlook, self-awareness and empathy
You’ll find
- A great team that’s growing quickly
- Remote and flexible working (we’re London-based by the way)
- Budget to develop and improve the skills necessary to succeed as a developer
- You are impacting customers by being involved early on in product development
- You are given the chance to influence the shape and direction of the architecture and technology of the platform
