As a Global Travel Manager at MoonPay, you’ll manage our domestic and international travel operations and implement ongoing enhancements and new travel services to support our growing global business. You will leverage your travel background, leadership abilities, program management skills, analytical expertise, and global experience to execute on the numerous and diverse demands of this position. You will lead the travel program on a global level but will also perform daily operational work to support our employee base, so you will need to be comfortable working at both a strategic and a tactical level.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, oversee, and manage day-to-day operations relating to executive travel
  • Manage travel partnerships and travel vendor relationships to ensure a high level of service and support for our employees, including travel agents, airlines, hotels, car services, corporate housing, and ancillary travel services
  • Maintain and develop travel systems and resources, including our internal travel page and associated collateral; serve as a subject matter expert for travel tools such as Concur
  • Drive continuous improvements to the travel program to meet company needs
  • Schedule quarterly reviews with travel vendors to accurately measure usage/expense and develop terms beneficial to both parties
  • Monitor and manage high risk travel situations; lead efforts for travel crisis response
  • Resolve issues and escalations efficiently and effectively
  • Negotiating preferred rates with vendors of direct travel
  • Planning travel accommodations, booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and coordinating activities

  • Significant global travel program management experience, ideally in a corporate environment
  • Strong knowledge of travel procurement practices; ability to analyze travel data and reporting to drive enhancements and cost savings
  • Excellent detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Strong customer focus
  • Ability to effectively build relationships with internal stakeholders and gain a strong knowledge of internal travel requirements
  • Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient user of G Suite
