Industry Analyst – Container xChange

As our Industry Analyst, you’ll turn market trends and unique industry data from xChange into original and forward-thinking market insights. The Container Availability Index is just one example of the data sets you’ll have at your disposal. Leveraging the internal data, you’ll create your own content formats and support other channel managers such as PR/Comms team, content marketing, and industry events as a sparring partner. Ultimately, your work will play a vital role in positioning Container xChange as a leading figure in the container logistics industry. As well as help other teams create relevant content, grow awareness in the container logistics industry, and achieve ambitious growth goals.

Your responsibilities in a nutshell

• Use publicly available information, internal xChange data sources in collaboration with data analysts, and data collected from surveys, that you create, to analyze global transport and logistics market
• Develop regular formats driven by your industry analyses to position xChange as an expert in our space, grow awareness, and capture demand
• Create regular commentary on the ongoings in our industry and how that’s relevant for our customers. These insights will be generated by leveraging our insights products (CAx, leasing, and trading)
• Educate customer-facing xChange colleagues on what’s happening in the market and how that impacts their job
• Closely work with different distribution channels (social, email, event, PR, etc.), and measure and optimize the success of your research
• Actively support the different channel managers with insights as a sparring partner to improve campaigns driven by them. Ensuring the relevance of the campaigns and that they resonate with the market along with an uplift in channel metrics

What we are looking for?

• A convincing communicator with fluent English – not only do you excite people, you also connect the dots to ultimately convince them
• Journalism and industry analyst experience (in the logistics sector) is a big plus
• You have strong analytical competencies, are highly proficient in Excel, and have a basic knowledge/understanding of SQLs as you will work closely with our data team.
