ABOUT THE POSITION

The UX Designer position plays a key role in our ability to connect with users and improve the user experience and conversion of our websites and applications. Working within the Product Team, the UX Designer is responsible for designing new UI components, creating new user flows and processes, maintaining the Continued Design System (we use Figma), and making sure best practices are applied at every level of the design process. This position works in a fast moving environment where you coordinate your efforts with other designers, product managers, and developers, while supporting Agile software delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with conceptualization and planning for UX initiatives including idea conception, design, wireframes, and prototyping.
  • In all work produced, maintain UX standards and accessibility best practices on all web properties and preserve the brand style and voice through collaboration with the UX Manager and creative team.
  • Add to and maintain the Continued Design System with a focus on reusability of components using Atomic Design principles.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers to create innovative solutions for new features and improvements that tie to business goals.
  • Support Agile development teams through design reviews and by collaborating on style implementation.
  • Propose and design new ideas and enhancements to our websites based on usage data and user feedback.
  • Evangelize for user experience within the company. Communicate user experience research to fellow team members and executives.
  • Take a user-centered approach to design with a deep understanding of information architecture, interaction, and usability best practices.
  • Occasional design for marketing assets including landing page templates, email templates, and other website assets that utilize design system components.
  • Stay on top of email design and landing page best practices in order to implement templates marketers can use to optimize their campaigns.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-5 years of relevant design experience required
  • Outstanding portfolio of shipped products
  • Proficiency in Figma or equivalent design program
  • Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Invision

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

The UX Designer’s success will be measured and evaluated by the following metrics:

  • Wireframes, mockups, and prototypes shipped;
  • Increase user satisfaction by working with the Product Team on new features or enhancements to the user experience; and
  • Increase usability of the Continued Design System by making improvements and utilizing new features.
