We’re a remote-first company with team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. This means we put in extra effort to make sure we connect and collaborate in ways that make sense for us. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees so people can get the work done in the way that works for them and their teams. After all, many parents call Babylist their professional home, and sometimes, life puts you in a position where you just have to jump off that Zoom meeting to clean up that banana that’s getting stomped on by your 2 year old.
We know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to quickly build those relationships, we offer the opportunity to meet with coworkers in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually. Most of our roles are fully remote, but these opportunities to meet in person will involve limited amounts of travel. For some leaders, there might be more opportunities to get together in person that would require about 10% travel to Oakland, CA or elsewhere.

What the Role Is
As a Lead Product Manager for Growth you will own the strategy, roadmap and execution of key product growth initiatives including new user onboarding, customer retention initiatives, SEO optimization, referral programs and mobile app growth. Working closely with our marketing, engineering, design and data teams, you will enhance our existing registry, content and eCommerce experience, and develop brand new opportunities for new parents to deeply understand our users and place the emphasis on user experience. You are a person who is passionate about improving lives through the products you build; through Babylist, you will have the opportunity to impact one of the most important and transformative moments in a person’s life.
Who You Are
- You’ve had an impressive record of working on consumer products in marketplaces, services, or eCommerce where you had to address the needs of multiple user groups and manage complex user journeys, ideally with 5+ years of experience
- You care deeply for our users and it express it in the details of design, interaction and execution
- You deeply understand data and how to capture and interpret metrics to drive your growth strategies
- You have worked at a fast-paced, successful startup or entrepreneurial environment to build products for both speed and scale
- You find opportunity in ambiguity and are able to independently identify, advocate for, and execute on new opportunities in the absence of a clear mandate
- You are able to ruthlessly prioritize in order to get the right things done
- You have done hard things
Your Core Competencies Might Include:
- Empathy- Your have a deep empathy for users and their experience with every aspect of your products
- Effective Communication- Both written and verbally, you communicate effectively across teams and stakeholders
- Balances Stakeholders- Influencing product decisions and juggling the various needs and priority of cross-functional partners
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Drive user growth by managing the full product management cycle for your roadmap: Discovery, Validation, Development, Launch and Measure/Iterate
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis, A/B test, and market research to identify new and innovative growth opportunities
- Collaborate closely with growth marketing, core product, analytics, and creative teams to define & refine new experiences to drive user growth
- Understand business goals and targets in the growth space, and develop and manage a clear product roadmap with key stakeholders
- Manage multiple complex projects and priorities in the ever changing start-up environment
