We’re looking for a Lead Engineer to lead a cross-functional team of engineers working together to build out investor-facing features on our Engage & Deliver engineering team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in building out our top product priorities through designing scalable systems, managing the implementation across a team of engineers, meeting high standards for quality, and helping to deploy and observe your software in use. You’ll also work closely with key stakeholders across our product, design, communications, and investor relations teams to ensure we are delivering the greatest value to our investors by engineering time spent.
Responsibilities

- Leading a cross-functional team of 3-5 engineers to deliver new product features and functionality for our API and investor-facing web application
- Managing individual and team performance, including holding weekly one-on-ones, providing coaching and guidance, and conducting regular performance reviews
- Architecting and delivering solutions that will scale smoothly with our rapidly growing user base
- Contributing to infrastructure development, including CI/CD optimizations, integrations with AWS services using Cloud Development Kit

Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience working in Java
- 2 years of experience working with JavaScript, and have a working knowledge of core front-end engineering principles
- 6 years of experience working with the Spring and Hibernate frameworks
- 2 years of experience managing other engineers, including conducting performance reviews and coaching professional development
- You have a demonstrated track record of effective communication and coordination with business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

- You have led or made significant contributions to scalable architecture projects or refactors
- You have a passion for web application security, and are familiar with OWASP standards and practices
- You have experience working with Vue.js and TypeScript
- You have a sound understanding of single-page web application architecture
- You have experience working within the AWS ecosystem, and have a sound understanding of how to leverage commonly-used services including EC2, S3, SQS, and DynamoDB
