Your role as Fictiv’s Supplier Development Engineer will focus on the growth and evolution of the Manufacturing Partner network (they’re more than just Suppliers). At Fictiv, we believe in creating the world’s premier platform for hardware manufacturing, and you’ll be playing a critical role in making that happen.
In this role, you’ll be using your background (degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or Engineering) and experience in supplier sourcing and development to uplevel Fictiv’s globally distributed Manufacturing Partner network. We win everyday because of the competitive advantage that our Platform, People, and Partners provides to our customers.
This role will be focused on growing the relationships with our partners who offer our core manufacturing services (with a weighted focus towards CNC Machining and additive manufacturing), allowing them to better support our customers’ needs. You will create programs for our Manufacturing Partners which will help them reduce their costs, mitigate industry challenges, expand their capabilities, expand their capacity for Fictiv work, and grow their business. Where necessary, you’ll use your negotiation skills to implement agreements which will encourage performance improvements and foster long term alignment of business goals.
Ultimately, you’ll be responsible for strengthening relationships with our strategic partners, allowing them to grow their business and take on more Fictiv work. You will work directly with the Strategic Sourcing Managers to ensure that we have the right mix, capacity, and capabilities of supply to meet and exceed customers technical, lead time, and cost requirements.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing.
