The Product Design team at Bridgit
Our product design team works as a Centralized Partnership – product designers collaborate closely with each other while also being dedicated partners to cross-functional pods (called Product Focus Areas). Designers, developers, and PMs work together with no silos or artificial barriers, moving as they see fit as they work toward completing established business and organizational objectives. We value flexibility in how we work, and strive to find a balance in having established processes rooted in best practices while also encouraging designers to adapt their process to the problem at hand. We also place high importance on collaboration, within our team, with product management and development, and with the company as a whole.
What you will do
As Product Designer, you will help us solve complex business problems with intuitive solutions that our customers will love. You are a driven, critical-thinking designer who loves to collaborate. In this role, you’ll be owning the design on a range of projects and features for our Bridgit Bench product and will be working closely with owners from product management and development.
You can expect to:
- Work through problems end-to-end from exploration, to problem definition, to solution design, to reviewing and iterating on results
- Conducting research to identify and explore opportunities
- Facilitating collaborative sessions in order to gain shared understanding with cross-functional peers and stakeholders
- Designing and prototyping multiple ideas rapidly to validate product directions
- Measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of shipped solutions to inform iterations
- Work collaboratively with development and product teams as you build and ship ideas
- Take a data-informed approach to design decisions, using qualitative insights as well as quantitative data to evaluate and improve on the experience
- Strategize the approach to your work, thinking in terms of service design and systems, not just screens
- Work closely with and mentor other designers on the team
- Work closely with the Design Lead to contribute to and evolve design processes
