We are looking for a Product Designer to join the Content Platform team!
Content Platform sits right at the heart of Spotify. We receive audio — and video — content from providers of all shapes and sizes, make sure it’s safe, and prepare it for all the teams at Spotify. We are the foundation on which Spotify teams innovate to deliver outstanding experiences to our listeners.
As a Design team we believe in the power of innovation through effective collaboration. We rely on a close partnership with Content Operations, Product, Tech, Product Insights, their leadership and teams. We help identify barriers to execution and bottlenecks of our customers and find effective ways and elegant solutions to remove them through interdisciplinary collaboration that we facilitate. The goal of Design in Content Platform is to drive experiences that put our customers front and centre.
What you will do:
-
- Responsible for the quality and robustness of design deliverables
- Ideate, craft, and iterate on experiences for new products across a Product Area
- Ensure consistency of the interface by applying library components
- You will work in a centralised Design team that works on different parts of the Content Platform’s product ecosystem.
- Be the voice of our internal customers by working alongside engineers, designers, and product managers to develop scalable and elegant design solutions
- Create visual artefacts to ensure understanding of learnings between cross functional partners
- You help set the quality bar for internal facing tools and educate engineers on the product design process
- Simplify complexity is your life motto to reduce the mental load of users and product development teams
- Take an active role in team activities, including design critique sessions, best practice initiatives, and social activities.
Who you are:
-
- A conceptual and human-centered problem solver.
- You seek to understand people’s needs, motivations and behaviours – in order to translate them into impactful results.
- Understand Information architecture, multi-step and cross-platform flows.
- Consistently considers the holistic user experience and potential states (errors, successes, dead-ends)
- Experienced collaborating with front-end engineers to support the needs of a robust product experience, including basic usability testing
- Autonomous and you take responsibility for your work on every last detail, every step of the way.
- An outstanding teammate, communicator and facilitator.
- You have the communication skills and people-focused design mentality to help set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts.
- You don’t shy away from complex problems and you stand fast when ambiguity is high
- Nice to have: Experience working with legal, trust & safety
- Nice to have: Experience working with content moderation tools and CMS
