OVERVIEW
In order to serve our growing customer base more effectively, Lockstep is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to translate product strategy into results. As a Product Marketing Manager, you play a critical role targeting our channels on the segments of the market and enabling our channels with the training and tools to grow revenue. Your role is also critical to providing market intelligence to product management to inform roadmap decisions. You will report the Chief Strategy Officer and will be instrumental in shaping go-to-market decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers, who are they, how they buy and their key buying criteria
Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition and how we can beat them including investigation of wins and losses, investigation of demoes, support material, and trials, and the development of battlecards for use by sales and product management
Collaborate with product management and marketing communications to develop product positioning and messaging that resonate with our target buyer personas
Manage implementation of product launches across cross-functional teams
Understand and support our direct and partner channels; train them on the pain points of our buyers and users; train them on how we solve the pain in a differentiated manner; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use it
REQUIREMENTS
2+ years of accounting product marketing experience with at least 1 year of experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce
Exceptional results-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
Excellent listener and collaborator to work with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing; MBA preferred
