Details on profile: We’re looking for a Scrum Lead who is passionate about coaching teams and evangelizing Agile Principles throughout our Axios Product and Engineering teams. The ideal Scrum Lead will have the experience and excitement to continuously improve the way we develop and deliver, with the flexibility to know how to help cater these principles to our environment and teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Scrum Lead for multiple teams
  • Challenge, coach, and guide teams and the organization using agile and lean principles
  • Develop creative retros to help teams self-actualize and mature
  • Use appropriate metrics to find practical and deliberate means for teams to strengthen their planning, delivery, and strategic capacities
  • Partner with the Product team to plan work effort, cross-team dependencies, relevant ceremonies, and emphasize code quality with focused user stories
  • Understand the company vision and pillars to ensure consistency with company strategy and goals
  • Facilitate, organize, and create a learning environment to deliver business value
  • Assist teams with a hands-on servant-leader approach from inception to delivery of our work
  • Adapt Agile methodology to meeting the needs of the organization, which may include project planning, sometimes meeting hard deadlines/fixed dates, and creative problem-solving
  • Approach unblocking your teams and removing obstacles as a daily passion
  • Experiment with and integrate processes and tools that encourage continuous improvement
  • Determine and manage risks and action items

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master, or equivalent role, within a software engineering organization
  • BS/BA or greater
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban, and other Agile development techniques
  • Comfort with ticketing tools such as JIRA
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence, personal savviness, and influencing skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused
  • Experience with large-scale application development
  • Release management experience
