What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?
As a Senior Accountant some of your responsibilities include performing complex accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and control functions with accuracy and timeliness; providing organizational leadership through subject matter expertise; coordinating interaction with other departments and third parties contributing to CLS objectives Working hours are generally heavier during the five business days surrounding the month-end close.
- Perform complex accounting & billing processes, monthly closings & trial balance reviews, and related financial reporting to management and third parties while developing/maintaining strong internal control & compliance disciplines.
- Independently analyze assigned accounts to ensure revenues and expenses are recorded properly and prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare internal & external financial statements/schedules/footnotes and provide audit, tax, and management decision support.
- Proactively identify controllership issues/opportunities and execute continuous process improvement.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.
· · Maintain general ledger including review and explain spend variances
· · Perform general ledger close-out duties and reconciliations
· · Prepare periodic management reports and accompanying schedules
· · Maintain fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules
· · Assist with preparation of capital requests including appropriate economic analysis
· · Analyze weekly Payroll/Earned Hours and verify Actual vs Standard variances
· · Prepare quarterly and annual regulatory tax filings at the plant level
· · Assist in Annual external and internal control audits
· · Participate in annual budget and periodic forecast process
· · Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned
- Experience with ERP systems and databases.

Other Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting from four-year College or University required.
- Minimum 4-6 years’ related experience and/or public accounting experience.
- Costing Accounting
- Inventory Control
- Current CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Required:
- Advanced Microsoft Office and SQL skills.
- Advanced knowledge of general accounting principles & practices.
- Controls implementation & process management.
