New opportunity at ForgeRock to work as the technical and strategic leader for UI Engineering at ForgeRock, you will direct and drive the execution of UI development for ForgeRock’s on premise Platform and Cloud Service. As the Director of UI Engineering you will work closely with Cloud and Platform Engineering staff and the Product Management team, and reports directly to the Senior VP of Engineering.
This roles requires someone that is passionate about customer experience, through communication and language, driven to driving experience. Working through your own technical knowledge and previous experience of coding, in this role you will have the ability to inform and update technical teams on customer requests, building context and business understanding.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Platform and Cloud Service Product Managers to understand and define priorities and available resources
- Act as the virtual global UI Product Manager across Platform and Cloud
- Drive consistency around the process and technology used with the global teams
- Cultivate a sense of teamwork and inclusiveness across the global teams
- Communicate the UI strategy and resourcing needs to Executive Management
- Maintain one global backlog for all teams
- Drive the Agile process across multiple teams
- Work closely with UX Engineering to create a consistent look and feel for all ForgeRock User Interface
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years related UI work experience
- Strong experience with UI Application Development (Single-Page Applications)
- JavaScript ES6+, CSS3, HTML5, LESS. Typescript
- Expertise with React, Redux and Webpack. Experience with Vue.js, Angular or an
- equivalent JavaScript framework
- Proficiency with Git and continuous integration/continuous delivery
- Knowledge of UI security issues and best practices to prevent vulnerabilities
- Developing and testing against Chrome, Firefox, Safari and mobile browsers
- Expertise with Unit and Functionally Testing UI
- Expertise with RESTful web services
- Exposure to Docker and Kubernetes is desirable but not essential
- Strong experience in modern software engineering best practices
- Desire to learn and curiosity to understand how and why things work
- degree in an Engineering or Science Discipline or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
- Comfortable working within distributed global teams highly desired
