What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

Joining Collibra's Legal team:

The Senior Employment Counsel will be exposed to a variety of legal and business matters and will report directly to Collibra’s General Counsel.  The ideal candidate is a self-starting problem-solver who can work both autonomously and collaboratively, as the circumstances warrant, and also roll up your sleeves when necessary to get the job done.

 

The Senior Employment Counsel at Collibra is responsible for:

  • Guide and provide pragmatic advice on a wide range of global employment issues, including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, wage and hour laws, leaves of absence, disability accommodations, pay practices, contingent workers, HR policies and procedures, performance management, investigations, terminations, and labor relations, leveraging outside counsel where necessary
  • Build and implement scalable, compliant employment policies and programs
  • Draft, negotiate, and enforce employment-related agreements, templates, and forms (e.g., employment, consulting, separation, etc.).
  • Monitor changes and updates to employment laws and advise of developments applicable to the company and its operations
  • Provide legal support for the Company’s DEI efforts
  • Handle and/or provide support on employment-related pre-litigation and litigation matters with minimal supervision.

You Have:

  • Ability to balance lots of simultaneous tasks and triage to make sure the right matters get attention
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with substantive labor & employment law experience both at a law firm and in-house
  • International experience strongly preferred

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced in creating and scaling processes and policies for a rapidly growing company
  • A problem solver with the ability to remain calm when problems arise
  • Self-motivated and have ability to identify and handle the matters at hand without instruction
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the United States

Reporting to Collibra's General Counsel, Senior Employment Counsel measures of success are:

  • Within your first month, you will develop a plan to review the Company’s global employment practices.
  • WIthin your third month, you will begin to implement new employment policies and programs
  • Within your six month, you will be seen as the go-to expert on global employment matters for the Company
