What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

NerdWallet is looking for an experienced senior engineering manager to lead multiple teams of talented engineers that build and maintain user facing products for our core membership experiences. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of building and mentoring high-end engineering teams, and are excited to build world-class, high scale products.

Where you can make an impact:

  • You will manage and grow a team of 7+ remote and local engineers.
  • You will work with engineering leadership to define a technical roadmap and vision for your team.
  • You will collaborate closely with product and design partners to deliver foundational technology solutions that drive results today and in the future.
  • You will work across the organization to help drive larger initiatives. 

You are:

  • An effective people manager that enjoys collaborating and mentoring a team of talented engineers.
  • Communicative and collaborative. You are able to work effectively with others. You will be working closely with developers and product groups to build product features and high quality products.
  • Someone who has a high-energy, company first, positive attitude and is motivated to work hard in a fast-paced environment.

Your experience:

  • 3+ years managing engineering teams
  • Experience delivering software at scale
  • Past coding experience on product focused teams
  • Degree in Computer Science or related fields


  • This role will be based in San Francisco, CA or remote (based in the U.S.).
