The Position

We have a key opportunity for a Senior Engineer to take on all development tasks to create high quality, intuitive and easy-to-use applications .  You will be proficient in OOP (ideally Java) and front-end skills (React and/or Angular) and able to teach and lead by example, mentoring both junior and senior engineers.

Job requirements

Principal Responsibilities 

  • Design and implement new features in our existing applications
  • Integrate our backend with new APIs
  • Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
  • Promote high standards of design patterns and coding best practices
  • Add new functionalities to our customer facing applications
  • Peer review code and perform all levels of testing
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies

Required Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years in a similar, relevant role
  • Strong experience with Java
  • Strong experience with Javascript and React.JS
  • Experienced with modern application frameworks – we use Spring Boot
  • Experience with database integrations e.g. SQL/NoSQL & Hibernate
  • Continuous use of testing frameworks e.g. Junit, Mockito, testing-library
  • Someone who leads and is committed to taking responsibility, ensuring quality is built into work
  • Love for automation, continuous integration and deployment, and agile iterative development
Nice to have
  • Candidates with experience with AngularJS and migrating AngularJS to react will be preferred
  • Knowledge of the hospitality sector is a big bonus but not necessary

Location:  Brazil (Remote Home working)

You will be based in Brazil, speak fluent Portuguese and English and be looking to work remotely from home for a UK based organisation with clients in 26 different countries around the world.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and autonomous Senior QA Engineer who shares our commitment. You will help us deliver reliable interfaces and APIs. You will have to opportunity to design and build our automation testing tools and frameworks and work closely with other members of the team.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Ability to design and build testing processes from scratch
  • Experience in functional testing (including blackbox, UI, acceptance testing), exploratory testing, writing testing documentation
  • Strong understanding of API testing (GraphQL) and web testing (Cypress.io)
  • Knowledge of scripting / programming (Javascript, Python, Go, Bash)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Open minded, collaborative and friendly

Nice to have

  • Understanding of common blockchain concepts
