Position Summary
Life360 is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager. This position reports to and supports the VP Finance and will drive acquisition integrations, harmonize accounting processes, assist with Revenue Accounting, oversee inventory accounting, assist with development of internal reporting templates and compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide day to day, hands on effort to assist in the development and implementation of the integration of acquisitions, including harmonizing accounting processes, develop inventory Accounting, and assist as need with Revenue Accounting
- Manage ongoing inventory accounting and related accruals (Eg. BRE, RMA, E&O..) including preparing variance analyses
- Development of internal reporting templates, particularly NetSuite, to ensure all appropriate reports required to operate internally as an SEC registrant as prepared
- Assist with Revenue Accounting, with a particular focus on automating subscription revenue calculations
- Assist with Recurly implementation and consider the implications for Revenue Accounting
- Manage all Sales Tax accounting, reporting and implement applicable processes using Avalara (Recurly’s tax partner)
- Assist with development and compliance with internal control processes with a particular focus on SOX compliance
- Mentor team members with their development and career progression
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automate manual procedures
- Provide support to finance leadership and other customers as needs arise, including ad hoc financial analysis, and special projects
Qualifications
- A candidate for this position will have at least 15 years of progressive working experience in growing technology company(ies).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
- Active CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience using a range of financial systems, e.g. NetSuite,
- Strong leadership, team building and interpersonal skills
- Organized: Ability to prioritize and deliver timely work; best in class project management skills.
- Flexible: Dynamic, hard-working, and able to pivot direction quickly to keep up with business demands
- Communicative: Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable in engaging conversation
- Technically Adept: Not afraid of new technologies and eager to learn.
- A Problem solver: Takes charge of creating solutions. Able to thrive in a fast pace-setting
