What Is Employee Growth Rate & Why Is It Important?

We’re looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to stand up and scale Alma’s content strategy, positioning us as a thought leader in the mental healthcare space for both our provider and consumer audiences. Your work will encompass partnering with consumer and provider growth teams to drive awareness and lead generation efforts through key content themes and projects, as well as partnering with lifecycle marketing to support full-funnel conversion. You will be responsible for establishing a content marketing strategy and key themes that resonate with our audiences.

The ideal candidate loves storytelling as much as they love data. They will understand digital best practices for content creation, publishing, and distribution, including an understanding of the tools and measurements needed to optimize and gauge success. This role will report to and partner closely with the Director of Brand Marketing, and partner closely with key stakeholders across growth, lifecycle, product marketing, and brand to build robust content programming.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop a holistic content strategy (for our provider and consumer audiences) around key themes that ladder back to the overall brand narrative and business strategy 
  • Partner with provider growth, consumer growth, and lifecycle marketing leadership to develop and pull content themes through the entire lifecycle journey of both audiences  
  • Stand up and scale a content marketing team, as well as coordinate work with vendors, freelancers, and internal resources to develop content  
  • Advise on and recommend ideal content types and mix needed to deliver against business metrics 
  • Provide guidance to creative teams on optimized content creation – length, narrative, structure, etc. – based on platform best practices 
  • Guide content delivery strategy, inclusive of ecosystems and comms mapping 
  • Support test-and-learn strategies to pull content into new distribution channels 
  • Partner with SEO Manager to leverage traffic-based engagement and health metrics to guide overall content web strategy 

Who you are:

  • You have 6+ years in content marketing and/or editorial strategy
  • You have a proven track record of building robust content strategies that deliver on business metrics, with a bias toward test-and-learn and optimization 
  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team, preferably overseeing both B2B and B2C work (freelance, full-time, or a combination of both) 
  • You understand digital best practices for content creation, publishing, and distribution
  • You are familiar with the content management toolbox, including approaches to CMS and SEO
  • You have strong editorial and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • You are able to tailor messages to the varied media and channels that people use to consume and process information
  • You love storytelling and the art of using content to build brands 
  • You are able to make complex subjects clear, easy to grasp, and compelling to consume
  • You are passionate about inclusion and leveraging content to democratize information

Salary Band: $125,000 – $160,000
