The Corporate Strategy & Development team is responsible for supporting the development of the enterprise strategy, driving key strategic initiatives, and executing on key acquisitions and partnerships. The team manages the identification, evaluation, and implementation of key partnerships across clinical, technology, plan operations, and enabling functions. The org partners across the organization to solve complex problems that are core to our business and look down the road for opportunities to accelerate growth and profitability.
We are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Partner Management that will report directly to our Chief Strategy and Development Officer. In this role, you will help build out key partner management, procurement, vendor management processes. You will be responsible for reviewing key partner spend and supporting negotiations. You will also be responsible for helping to coordinate the vendor/partner management process from origination/evaluation to signature/operational management.
As the Senior Manager, Partner Management, you will:
- Act as a point of contact between operations and vendors to negotiate contracts across our portfolio of products and leader of RFP and SLA management.
- Establish an overall procurement strategy which identifies, prioritizes, evaluates, and manages procurement needs and opportunities.
- Lead and develop procurement best in class processes by designing and implementing a project plan to include staff training/education, milestones, and metrics to ensure success as it relates to New Vendor Onboarding.
- Evaluate strategic vendor partners, and manage end-to-end relationships from diligence through contracting, launch and ongoing operational support.
- Oversee launch activities and author playbooks and project plans together with partners to implement solutions at scale.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, accounts payable and compliance to ensure efficiencies are met surrounding the purchase order process, ROI metrics, and operational vendor spend authorization.
- Provide analytics and tracking of spend compliance as it relates to vendors and location performance (KPIs), product use, and cost.
- Design and administration of an electronic vendor contract management tool that fully supports tracking, approvals workflow, and PO/Accounts payable process.
- Conduct operating reviews across business functions to present new partner/vendor business cases, track vendor spend vs budget, monitor performance of key SLAs/KPIs.
- Negotiate vendor arrangements and have prior experience setting up contracting terms.
- Design and implement creative partner solutions across Clover’s range of business lines – Health Plan Operations, Clinical Operations, and Product.

- You have 5+ years of relevant operational and healthcare work experience, preferably in plan operations and clinical operations space.
- You have experience managing vendors in a high-performing environment, including developing and implementing vendor strategy.
- You have experience scaling new business functions and an understanding of how to enable growth towards business goals.
- You have experience negotiating contracts and commercial arrangements in a clinical, provider, and health plan environment.
- You are familiar with technology platforms uses for contract management and finance approvals/tracking.
- You have advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
