Atlassian is seeking a Senior Program Manager to boost the effectiveness of our teams by leading key technical programs, championing delivery success, and operationalizing the product development processes in order to make our delivery teams hum with efficiency.

R&D Program Managers at Atlassian build trusted networks, seek clarity and serve as the grease and the glue to ensure teams deliver complex cross-functional programs as seamlessly as single team projects.

As the ideal Program Manager, you are a dynamic individual who thrives in making order out of chaos. Alongside leaders and colleagues in the Program Management team, you will develop and apply practices, plays, and agile frameworks, to build pathways for autonomous, empowered, and lasting teams.

Marketplace is the “App Store” of Atlassian: our team helps developers around the world build apps that extend & improve our products (Jira & Confluence) and then share them with other Atlassian users. As a Program Manager for the Marketplace within our Ecosystem team, you will understand the ‘why’ behind strategic plans and manage work to execute on them. You will guide reporting mechanisms, craft communications for various audiences (including executives), set processes for cross-team projects, and/or jump into a team to help connect and unblock teams.

To be successful in this role you will be able to engage with many cross-functional teams (with many varying perspectives!) and keep them aligned to satisfy the strategic plan. You will need to deeply understand Atlassian’s priorities, and relate them to company level business goals. You are a center of team spirit, and you craft and implement pathways to up-level the teams working toward a common strategy.

You Will:

  • Ensure the Marketplace team in Bengaluru is planning and setting the right goals, and executing on those goals efficiently with good tracking and reporting methods.
  • Run priority strategic projects, which focus on technical delivery on the Marketplace, as well as commercial pricing projects and Marketplace partner projects specifically contributing to vendor success.
  • Apply good project management discipline to projects across Marketplace, focussing on building plans, good stakeholder engagement, dependency management and risk & issue management.
  • Ensure that the Marketplace team in Bengaluru has a smooth operating engine, by helping with communications across the department and with the leadership team (e.g. town halls & leadership meetings.)
  • Coach, assist and facilitate teams to enable them to continue to grow and be even more effective.
  • Work with the wider Ecosystem team in Sydney on the Marketplace team needs to help set up the team for success and contribute to the overall success of the Ecosystem team.
