DESCRIPTION

The Amazon Key and Ring teams are pioneering secure delivery experiences for homes and businesses using the latest home security technologies. We are seeking an exceptional Senior Industry Specialist to design, build, and implement Trust initiatives in this mission.

As the Senior Industry Specialist for Trust Initiatives for Amazon Key, you will design and build processes that safeguard the trust our neighbors place in us to help them manage access to their spaces. You will work closely with software and hardware engineering teams, program and product managers, UX designers, marketing and PR teams, and with other internal Ring and Amazon stakeholders, as well as with Key’s external network of strategic partners. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, and who is sensitive to the diverse perspectives of stakeholders and works with them to drive consensus around a high-integrity program.

It is still Day 1 at Amazon, and we need a creative, ethical problem-solver with exceptional judgment and high integrity under tight timelines. Business and product-minded ex-lawyers, privacy or compliance specialists, and individuals with ethics, regulatory, policy, PR, or safety experience are highly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate has a passion for smart home combined with an established track record earning trust with new technologies that push the boundaries of established norms.

As the future of work evolves, so do we. We have a hybrid model where our roles are open to in-office, flex, or remote work.

Key job responsibilities
• Manage the lifecycle of trust initiatives from end-to-end, including identifying and articulating risks, designing and launching scalable mitigations, and measuring success.

• Work with Amazon, Ring, and external stakeholders to prioritize and define scalable permissions frameworks and verification mechanisms.

• Look around corners to anticipate bottlenecks, build escalation pathways, and bring practical execution to the relentlessly high standards we have for the safety and security of our customers.

• Communicate with senior leaders on how and why our strategy is effective stewardship of the trust our customers and neighbors place in Amazon Key.

A day in the life
As Senior Industry Specialist for Trust Initiatives for Amazon Key, you will build trust programs and processes that scale, while balancing customer and business needs versus technical constraints. You’ll advise product teams on cross-functional trust requirements and help them overcome obstacles in execution. You’ll be expected to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, and then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. You’ll report to the Head of Trust Initiatives for Amazon Key and have help from centralized privacy, PR, legal and trust teams as you build and manage the trust roadmap for the business.
You will be welcome in our central offices in Los Angeles, CA (Hawthorne), but this role is open to remote candidates.
