Are you passionate about infrastructure on a global scale? Are you curious, a builder, a problem solver? Our platform handles billions of events a day, terabytes of data, and millions of network requests with frequent code deployments. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will not be siloed into a small part of that infrastructure. You will be responsible for Tinder’s Global Platform. Are you ready for a challenge?
By applying to this role you will be considered for all Site Reliability Engineer roles currently available in our LA, Palo Alto and San Francisco offices. We currently work together remotely and we’ve adapted our recruiting processes to accommodate virtual interviews with prospective hires.

What we are looking for:

    • 2+ years demonstrated experience in software development, systems administration, or site reliability
    • Strong coding skills to write tools and automation — i.e., Python, Golang
    • AWS experience, including but not limited to EC2, DynamoDB, RDS, and ElastiCache
    • 1+ years proven experience with Docker, containers, and distributed systems

Bonus points if you have:

    • Experience with Kubernetes, Envoy, Terraform
    • Experience solving problems at scale
    • Basic understanding of networking principles – TCP/IP and load balancing
    • Familiarity with Prometheus, ELK, Thanos, or other observability tools
    • Large scale microservice service mesh architectures
    • Familiarity with Node.js/Go/Java – you don’t need to write it, we just need you to know how to read it
