About the Role:
CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a “sensor”, which is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network and correlates malicious behavior across multiple machines and presents our customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.
Join CrowdStrike and become a key leader in building the most innovative endpoint security solution in the world. Our sensor development team is responsible for building the endpoint sensor which deploys on multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
As a Software Engineer, you will be expected to drive the customer experience through packaging and installation within the Linux platform. This is an opportunity for software developers with a passion for build tooling to have a positive impact on millions of customers worldwide while also making sure high standards are being followed when it comes to design, coding quality, and unit and component testing.
Responsibilities:
- Work with distributed and multi-functional teams in packaging, tooling, and installation of our Linux sensor product with customer experience in mind
- Own features from design to delivery including participation in product demo at the end of the sprint
Requirements:
- Expertise in Python or similar scripting languages·
- Strong understanding/makeup of a modern GNU/LINUX Distribution·
- Experience with build systems, toolchains, and cross-compilation
Familiar with container technologies such as docker, Kubernetes, and LXD· - Experience working with frameworks, integrations, and CI systems to extend the sensor platform build ecosystem·
- Experience working with teams to ship major features and releases.·
- Lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team·
- Familiarity and experience with Agile process

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For applicants in Colorado the salary range is $145,000 – $230,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
