Airbyte is the open-source standard for EL(T). We enable data teams to replicate data from applications, APIs, and databases to data warehouses, lakes, and other destinations. Opportunity
As a Staff Engineer, you are an expert in designing and building solutions that have components that are deployed both in a user’s Cloud or Data center and in your own companies. You will be responsible for defining the interface between the on-prem and managed components of the system. You will also define core functionality and abstractions that will allow the product to work seamlessly across these deployment environments. Your work will enable our users to reap the benefits of using a managed SaaS ETL solution while still being able to keep sensitive data in their own cloud environment.
What You’ll Do
- Architect deploying components of Airbyte Cloud on-prem / on-cloud.
- Define the interface and abstractions of Cloud and on-prem components.
- Lead cross-team technical initiatives to roll out Hybrid deployments
- Write high-leverage code
- Mentor senior engineers on the Platform Team
What You’ll Need
- Expert knowledge in on-prem and / or hybrid deployments
- 10+ years of software engineering experience
- Excited to work remote
- Excellent communication skills
- A passion for continuous learning and improvement (both at a personal and team level)
